Senior QA Engineer

• Execute manual and automated testing across the product lifecycle, identifying defects and validating that software meets defined acceptance criteria.
• Extend and deepen the existing automation suite, integrating it more tightly into the CI/CD development pipeline.
• Design and build new testing frameworks from the ground up where needed to improve coverage, reliability, and execution speed.
• Participate in the full product development lifecycle — from scoping test requirements at project kickoff through to signing off releases for quality.
• Track, manage, and prioritise test issues, collaborating with engineers and product teams to drive timely resolution.
• Write, review, and maintain concise test documentation; revise legacy test cases to improve coverage and relevance.
• Mentor junior QA engineers, conduct code and test reviews, and champion best practices across the engineering organisation.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders within an agile/Scrum delivery environment.

• Demonstrate 5+ years of professional QA experience with a clear, demonstrable focus on test automation — not just manual testing.
• Show proven ability to design, implement, and maintain test frameworks and comprehensive test case libraries from scratch.
• Write production-quality Python code to build and maintain automation scripts and test utilities.
• Use Selenium WebDriver fluently for browser-based UI testing across complex web applications.
• Apply test frameworks such as Pytest to structure, organise, and execute automated test suites efficiently.
• Navigate test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Quality Center) and API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI) to manage test cycles and validate integrations.
• Operate effectively within agile or Scrum teams — estimating QA effort, participating in sprint ceremonies, and delivering on commitments independently.
• Communicate complex quality findings clearly in written and spoken English to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Nice to have: Prior experience or coursework in bioinformatics; end-to-end QA project management; experience leading or mentoring a QA team.

The compensation for this role is competitive and benchmarked against global biotechnology industry standards.
