A Day in the Life

Your week begins Monday morning actioning overnight SWIFT messages and reviewing failed payments from Friday; by mid-morning you're vetting a batch of five export letters of credit on the OCR platform, checking signatures and examining shipping documents against UCP rules. Tuesday involves daily reconciliation of liability accounts, processing STFC releases, and handling two customer queries flagged in TMW—one requires a sanctions screening re-run, the other a signature verification. Mid-week you're in a UAT testing session for a new platform upgrade, and you're coordinating with the Front Office team on a high-value inward guarantee application. Thursdays are reserved for reviewing closed transactions, filing archived deals, and running your Jasper reports to ensure all income has been collected correctly. Throughout the week you're toggling between FCC, FCR, IMEX, and PANGEA systems, communicating status updates to clients and internal stakeholders, and ensuring every transaction meets the bank's delegated authority matrix and regulatory requirements—precision and speed are equally critical.
