Cloud FinOps Analyst

World Vision is seeking a skilled and analytical Cloud FinOps Analyst to join its global technology team. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the strategic bridge between Finance, IT, and Engineering, driving financial accountability and cost efficiency across a large-scale, multi-cloud environment spanning AWS, Azure, and GCP. Your work will directly support World Vision's humanitarian mission by ensuring that cloud investments are optimized, transparent, and aligned with organizational priorities.

You will operate within Agile delivery frameworks and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to implement governance structures, chargeback models, and continuous cost optimization initiatives.

• Aggregate, normalize, and analyze multi-cloud consumption data (AWS, Azure, GCP) to identify cost trends, anomalies, and savings opportunities.
• Develop and maintain executive-level dashboards, scorecards, and reports covering cloud spend, forecast accuracy, and cost allocation.
• Partner with Finance and business unit leaders to establish rolling cloud budgets, consumption forecasts, and variance analyses.
• Implement and enforce FinOps governance policies, tagging standards, and budget guardrails to ensure compliance with organizational financial controls.
• Design, deploy, and continuously refine chargeback and showback mechanisms that accurately allocate cloud costs to product lines and projects, promoting ownership and accountability.
• Educate stakeholders on FinOps principles and foster a culture of cost transparency and shared financial responsibility.
• Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams to execute rightsizing, Reserved Instance and Savings Plan procurement, spot-instance strategies, and automated shutdown schedules.
• Lead continuous improvement sprints within Agile delivery cycles to implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) cost-management controls and automation.
• Advise senior leadership on the cloud financial implications of new services, migration patterns, and emerging technologies.
• Facilitate FinOps training workshops and working sessions to embed best practices across global technical teams.

• Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Must demonstrate at least 3 years of hands-on experience in cloud financial management, cost optimization, or FinOps within a large-scale, multi-cloud environment.
• Must be proficient in cloud cost tools such as AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, and GCP Billing, as well as FinOps platforms like CloudHealth or Apptio.
• Must be able to build and maintain BI dashboards and reports using Power BI or Tableau to communicate financial insights to non-technical audiences.
• Must apply strong financial acumen — including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and P&L reconciliation — to cloud financial management scenarios.
• Must translate complex cloud consumption data into clear, concise executive summaries and strategic recommendations.
• Must demonstrate working familiarity with IaC tools (Terraform, ARM templates), scripting languages (Python, PowerShell), and CI/CD pipelines to embed cost controls within DevOps workflows.
• Must diagnose cloud cost anomalies, model optimization scenarios, and drive measurable utilization improvements through analytical rigor and structured problem-solving.
• Must engage and influence cross-functional stakeholders — including Finance, Engineering, and senior leadership — through clear communication and FinOps advisory support.

World Vision offers a competitive remuneration package commensurate with experience and qualifications. Based on Kenyan market benchmarks for NGO/INGO Senior Analyst roles, the estimated monthly gross salary range is KES 200,000 – KES 350,000.
