Program Manager – Digital Health

Girl Effect is seeking an experienced and mission-driven Program Manager to lead the operational, technical, and programmatic excellence of its digital health portfolio in Kenya and across a network of country projects. This is a senior role requiring a confident professional who can translate strategic vision into measurable impact, ensuring all projects meet the highest standards of quality, timeliness, and donor compliance.

Reporting to country and global leadership, the Program Manager will serve as a key liaison between network members, country project teams, headquarters technical departments, and subcontractors. You will supervise consultants, contribute to technical documentation, support donor relations, and play an active role in departmental and organisational initiatives that advance Girl Effect's mission of empowering adolescent girls and young women through digital innovation.

• Provide oversight and monitoring of Kenya country office activities to ensure full compliance with donor reporting requirements, metric submissions, financial processes, and operational standards.
• Develop and manage annual, quarterly, and monthly work plans, tracking delivery against set targets and flagging risks proactively.
• Ensure programmatic and financial health across a portfolio of high-complexity country and global projects.
• Supervise consultants serving as focal points for global and network member engagements.
• Collaborate with headquarters technical and service departments, country project teams, and subcontractors to ensure programme objectives are achieved.
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge and provide specialised subject matter support in digital health and technology project management.
• Support country, project, or departmental leadership in donor relations, proposal development, and strategic planning.
• Contribute to the development of technical documents, presentations, and reports for internal and external audiences.
• Ensure compliance with government regulations, donor requirements, and Girl Effect's internal policies at all times.
• Contribute to wider departmental and organisational working groups and initiatives as required.

• Design, implement, and monitor complex health programmes — demonstrating at least 5 years of hands-on experience in both public and private sector health contexts.
• Manage multi-stakeholder projects end-to-end, from planning through to reporting, in line with international donor standards (Gates Foundation, CIFF, corporate and foundation donors).
• Build and sustain partnerships with donors, government bodies, the private sector, and civil society organisations.
• Apply deep knowledge of international development principles and donor priorities to programme decision-making.
• Produce high-quality donor reports, proposals, and presentations with clarity and precision.
• Lead and supervise consultants and cross-functional teams across diverse digital platforms and geographies.
• Apply sexual and reproductive health (SRH) programming knowledge to design inclusive, youth-centred interventions (an added advantage).
• Navigate complex compliance environments, ensuring financial and programmatic accountability at every stage.

Girl Effect offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience, estimated in the range of KES 250,000 – 400,000 per month, in line with INGO programme management benchmarks in Kenya.
