ACCA Lecturer

Powervision Consultancy is seeking a highly qualified and results-driven ACCA Lecturer to join its professional training faculty based in Parklands, Nairobi. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality tuition across multiple ACCA papers, equipping students with the technical knowledge and exam technique needed to achieve strong pass rates and advance their professional accounting careers.

• Deliver engaging, well-structured lectures and tutorials across one or more ACCA papers, covering areas such as Financial Reporting, Audit & Assurance, Taxation, Financial Management, and Strategic Business subjects.
• Develop and regularly update course materials, lesson plans, mock exams, and revision resources aligned with the latest ACCA syllabus and examiner guidance.
• Monitor individual student progress, identify learning gaps, and provide targeted academic support and mentorship to maximise examination pass rates.
• Set, mark, and provide detailed feedback on practice questions, mock examinations, and assignments to build student competence and exam confidence.
• Maintain accurate student attendance records, progress reports, and performance data for management review.
• Stay current with updates to ACCA syllabi, technical pronouncements, and relevant legislation (e.g., Kenyan tax law, IFRS updates) to ensure teaching content remains accurate and relevant.
• Participate in curriculum review meetings, departmental planning sessions, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the training programme.
• Provide career guidance and professional development advice to students pursuing the ACCA qualification.

• Must demonstrate at least 3 years of hands-on experience teaching ACCA courses in a college, university, or accredited professional training institution.
• Must show a proven track record of preparing students for ACCA examinations with measurable, above-average pass rates.
• Must be able to teach across multiple ACCA papers with confidence and subject-matter authority.
• Must hold full ACCA qualification or affiliate status — this is a non-negotiable requirement.
• Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business, or a related field.
• Must demonstrate strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex financial and accounting concepts for diverse student audiences.
• Should be able to apply practical professional experience in accounting, auditing, taxation, financial management, or corporate finance to enrich classroom instruction.
• Must be organised, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple paper delivery schedules concurrently.

The gross monthly salary for this role is KES 60,000. This is a full-time, institution-based position located in Parklands, Nairobi. Additional benefits are subject to confirmation at the offer stage but may include professional development support and a structured working environment within a reputable training institution.

Ideal candidate: A fully qualified ACCA professional or affiliate with a solid background in both accounting practice and professional tuition, who thrives in a teaching environment and is genuinely invested in student success. You are patient, technically sharp, and experienced enough to coach students through both foundational and strategic-level ACCA papers.
