Jamii Telecommunications Limited (JTL), the company behind Kenya's fast-growing FAIBA broadband and mobile brand, is seeking motivated and hardworking Assistant Splicing Technicians to join its field operations team in Nairobi on a contract basis. In this role, you will work closely with senior splicing technicians to install, splice, and maintain fibre optic cables in both outdoor and indoor settings. - Provide ground-level assistance to the lead technician during fibre splicing activities, including grounding, bonding, isolation, slack storage, and splice case sealing.
- Assist in reading, creating, and maintaining splicing schematics, diagrams, and technical field notes accurately.
- Support routine maintenance activities on the fibre optic network as directed by the lead technician.
- Maintain control and awareness of outside plant activities at assigned work sites.
