Assistant Warehouse Supervisor

In this role, you will work closely with the senior warehouse team to ensure seamless day-to-day warehouse operations — from the accurate receipt and inspection of goods through to their safe storage and timely dispatch.

You will play a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, upholding safety and hygiene standards, and supporting logistics coordination to keep the supply chain running efficiently.

• Receive, inspect, and accurately record all incoming goods and raw materials in line with company procedures.
• Ensure inventory is stored, handled, and organised correctly within the warehouse to minimise damage and losses.
• Prepare and process outbound dispatches in compliance with established company protocols and customer requirements.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate records for all receiving, dispatch, and inventory transactions.
• Support scheduled and ad hoc stock counts, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliation exercises.
• Coordinate with logistics and transport teams to facilitate timely and accurate deliveries and collections.
• Assist in fleet coordination activities including vehicle loading, offloading, and basic logistics routing oversight.
• Enforce compliance with safety standards, hygiene protocols, and general housekeeping requirements across the warehouse.
• Provide hands-on support to the wider warehouse team during peak periods and daily operational activities.
• Identify operational inefficiencies and escalate or recommend corrective actions to the Warehouse Supervisor.

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a closely related discipline.
• At least 4 years of professional experience in an FMCG environment, with a minimum of 2 years spent directly in warehouse operations.
• Demonstrated ability to operate and extract value from warehouse and inventory management systems such as SAGE, ERP platforms, or advanced Excel-based tools.
• Proven track record of accurately processing and maintaining receiving and dispatch documentation without errors.
• Ability to conduct stock counts and reconcile physical inventory against system records.
• Working knowledge of vehicle loading, offloading procedures, and logistics routing practices.
• Ability to implement and enforce safety, hygiene, and housekeeping standards within a busy warehouse environment.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising accuracy.
• Demonstrated collaborative approach and the ability to problem-solve effectively under pressure.
• High level of personal integrity, accountability, and reliability in handling company assets and documentation.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills sufficient to liaise with logistics, transport, and cross-functional teams.

The salary for this role is competitive and aligned with mid-level warehouse and supply chain roles within Kenya's FMCG sector. Estimated monthly compensation ranges between KES 60,000 and KES 100,000, depending on qualifications and relevant experience.
