KEDA Kenya Ceramics Company Limited, a leading ceramics tiles and sanitary ware manufacturer based in Miwani, Kisumu County, is seeking a reliable and experienced Driver to join its operations team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of goods, materials, and staff across assigned routes in support of the company's manufacturing and distribution activities.

This is a full-time, site-based position requiring a disciplined professional who takes pride in vehicle care, adheres strictly to road safety regulations, and understands the importance of logistics in a busy industrial environment. • Safely operate company vehicles to transport staff, goods, and materials to designated destinations in a timely manner.
• Execute scheduled pick-up and delivery assignments with precision and punctuality.
• Perform thorough pre-trip vehicle inspections daily, checking oil levels, water, brakes, tyres, and lights before commencing any journey.
• Maintain the cleanliness and roadworthiness of the assigned vehicle at all times.
• Immediately report any accidents, vehicle damage, or mechanical faults to the relevant supervisor.
• Strictly observe all traffic laws, road regulations, and internal company transport policies.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate vehicle logbooks, fuel consumption records, and trip documentation.
• Assist with the loading and offloading of goods and materials as required during deliveries.
• Guarantee the security and safety of all passengers and cargo at all times.
• Carry out minor emergency vehicle repairs when necessary to minimise downtime.

• Demonstrate at least 5 years of proven driving experience in a fast-paced, professional work environment — not just casual or personal driving.
• Confidently and competently operate manual transmission vehicles, including heavy or medium commercial vehicles.
• Hold a valid driving licence for the appropriate vehicle class as required by the role.
• Present a clean driving record with no serious traffic violations or licence suspensions.
• Navigate road networks in and around Kisumu County and broader Western Kenya with confidence and local knowledge.
• Apply basic mechanical understanding to identify faults early and perform minor emergency repairs without waiting for breakdown assistance.
• Demonstrate strong personal discipline, punctuality, and a high standard of professional conduct at all times.
• Communicate clearly with supervisors, logistics coordinators, and other team members regarding trip status and any issues arising.
• Work independently with minimal supervision while consistently meeting delivery schedules and reporting requirements.

The salary for this role is competitive and commensurate with experience, in line with Kenyan market rates for experienced industrial drivers. While the exact figure has not been publicly disclosed, candidates with 5+ years of relevant experience can expect a monthly package in the range of KES 35,000 – 55,000. Additional benefits may include statutory contributions (NHIF, NSSF, PAYE), and potential allowances tied to operational assignments.
