Facilitator – Youth Mentorship & Learning

Hatua Likoni is a youth empowerment organization based in Likoni, Nairobi, that has been transforming the lives of young people through scholarships, mentorship, and personal development programmes since 2007. From humble beginnings sponsoring just 7 students, the organization has grown to directly support hundreds of scholars, equipping them with the confidence, skills, and purpose to thrive.

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Facilitator to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will design and deliver engaging learning and mentoring sessions that inspire young people, build their self-confidence, and equip them with practical life and personal development skills. • Plan, prepare, and facilitate interactive mentorship and learning sessions for youth scholars
• Deliver personal development curricula that build confidence, purpose, and goal-setting skills among young people
• Support scholar engagement by creating a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment
• Track scholar participation and progress, providing feedback and follow-up support as needed
• Collaborate with programme coordinators to align session content with organizational goals
• Adapt facilitation approaches to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of participants
• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of programme materials and resources
• Maintain accurate records of sessions, attendance, and scholar feedback

• Demonstrated ability to facilitate engaging group sessions for youth audiences, maintaining energy, participation, and focus throughout
• Proven capacity to create inclusive learning environments where young people feel safe to express themselves and take risks
• Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and empathetically to diverse youth audiences
• Experience designing or adapting learning content to suit different age groups and skill levels
• Skill in providing constructive, encouraging feedback that supports personal growth
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently with minimal supervision
• Strong organizational skills to manage session planning, reporting, and follow-up tasks concurrently
• Familiarity with youth development principles and community-based programme delivery is an added advantage

Hatua Likoni offers a competitive remuneration package commensurate with experience and in line with NGO sector standards in Kenya. The estimated monthly salary for this role ranges between KES 60,000 and KES 100,000.
