- Explicit mention of covering staff absences and high-demand periods indicates a hands-on, inclusive leadership culture rather than purely supervisory distance.

- Multi-property scope across a group operation offers visibility into larger business strategy and potential for advancement to group-level leadership positions.
Watch Out
- The job description appears to be cut off mid-sentence ('Strong contracting and negotiation s'), suggesting the posting may be incomplete or hastily prepared.
- No mention of benefits, professional development, or learning opportunities beyond the core role, which may limit understanding of the full employment package.
A Day in the Life
Your week blends revenue strategy and operational firefighting: Monday mornings you review OTA channel performance data and rate parity reports across five properties, flagging discrepancies and preparing negotiation briefs for upcoming OTA contract reviews. Mid-week, you conduct team huddles with your central reservations staff, coaching agents on complex group bookings and reviewing service response times. You liaise constantly with property managers on availability updates, special requests, and billing queries, while also fielding walk-in group enquiries via WhatsApp, email, and telephone. Thursday involves analyzing booking trends and preparing revenue recommendations for the group's commercial leadership. You're equally likely to jump into Opera PMS to troubleshoot a system issue as to negotiate a corporate rate contract or train a new agent on Booking.com optimization.
