Transfer Driver

Africa Safari Trips is seeking a professional and experienced Transfer Driver to join our dynamic team based in Mombasa, Kenya. As one of East Africa's leading private safari operators — with offices in Nairobi and Kampala — we are committed to delivering exceptional, memorable experiences for our guests from the moment they land to the moment they depart.

In this role, you will be the first and last impression our guests have of Africa Safari Trips. You will be responsible for safely and comfortably transporting clients between airports, hotels, and safari departure points, while serving as a knowledgeable and welcoming ambassador for Kenya's incredible destinations, culture, and wildlife.

• Execute timely, safe, and professional airport and hotel transfers for guests across the Mombasa region and surrounding areas
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of routes, road conditions, and local geography to ensure efficient and stress-free journeys
• Greet and assist guests with luggage, ensuring a warm and hospitable experience at every touchpoint
• Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues promptly to the fleet or operations manager
• Ensure the assigned vehicle is kept clean, well-maintained, and roadworthy at all times
• Comply with all Kenyan road traffic laws, PSV regulations, and company safety policies
• Respond calmly and effectively to emergencies, applying basic first aid where necessary
• Coordinate with the operations team to manage scheduling, pick-up times, and client communication
• Provide guests with accurate and engaging information about local attractions, wildlife, and Kenyan history when appropriate
• Handle guest concerns or complaints professionally and escalate when required

• Must hold a valid PSV (Public Service Vehicle) Driver's License and a TRA license — no exceptions
• Must demonstrate 3–5 years of hands-on driving experience specifically within tours, travel, or hospitality sectors
• Must apply defensive driving techniques consistently and proactively to ensure passenger safety at all times
• Must be able to administer basic first aid in the event of a medical emergency during a transfer
• Must communicate clearly and courteously in English with international guests from diverse backgrounds
• Must navigate confidently across Kenya's road network, including coastal and upcountry routes
• Must demonstrate working knowledge of Kenya's geography, history, and wildlife to enrich the guest experience
• Must be punctual, presentable, and highly reliable — this role demands strict time management and personal discipline
• Proficiency in additional languages (e.g., French, German, or Swahili) is an added advantage

Africa Safari Trips offers a competitive remuneration package commensurate with experience in the hospitality and tourism sector. The estimated monthly salary for this role ranges from KES 40,000 to KES 70,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
